Four from Ringwood among arrests over fight on Old Christchurch Road in Bournemouth
FOUR people from Ringwood were among those arrested after a fight in Bournemouth in which a man suffered head injuries.
They were among five held over the incident which involved two groups on Old Christchurch Road just before 1am on Sunday 15th January.
A 17-year-old boy from St Leonard's and a 20-year-old man from Ringwood were arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm; an 18-year-old man from Ringwood was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm; and a 17-year-old girl from Ringwood and a 41-year-old Bournemouth man were arrested on suspicion of affray.
A Bournemouth man in his 40s was taken to hospital with head injuries and remains there receiving treatment.
Officers are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information about the incident.
Detective Inspector Shaun Inkpen, of Bournemouth CID, said: “An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing and I am appealing for any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police to please come forward.
“Also, I am keen to hear from anyone who might have relevant dashcam or mobile phone footage that could assist our enquiries.”
