Former Highcliffe School pupil Charlotte Sumner enters Love Island

A FORMER Highcliffe School student has become one of the latest singletons to enter the villa on ITV’s Love Island.

Charlotte Sumner (30), who joined the show on Sunday, hails from Christchurch and is a former dental nurse.

Describing herself as “bubbly and confident”, Charlotte has revealed she signed up to be a contestant on the ITV2 show with the hope of meeting Mr Right.

A friend who did not want to be named said: “It would be really lovely to Charlotte do well. She’s a lovely girl as well as being very beautiful.”

Charlotte admits it was her friends and family who encouraged her to take the plunge and apply for the popular show.

Ahead of her appearance, she told ITV: “Friends and family kept telling me to apply for Love Island, so I thought, why not? The age I’m at and the experiences I’ve had, I feel ready to meet my Mr Right.”

In order to win Charlotte over, her ideal match will need to be someone who she is “sexually attracted to” but is also “kind-hearted and laid-back”.

She said: “The best date I went on was with an Italian guy I met who wanted to take me to Milan but I only agreed to it if my best friend could come.

“The guy flew us both out to Milan for fashion week and put us up in the Armani hotel, it was incredible.”

Summing up her perfect date, Charlotte has said she would “invite Paddington Bear for a marmalade sandwich” as she adores the fictional children’s character.

Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
