Lymington-based hamper company The Forest Foodie takes two awards in the Central South Business Awards

A LYMINGTON-based luxury hamper company has won two accolades in the Central South Business Awards, a scheme celebrating remarkable companies in the region.

Flora Richardson, of The Forest Foodie, came top in two categories – the Start-up of the Year Award and the Best Customer Service Award.

Her’s was not only the smallest business in attendance at Platinum Media Group’s awards ceremony at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton, but also one of the very few female-led companies.

“I am immensely proud and honoured to have won not just the one but two awards at the Central South Business Awards last week,” said Flora. “These awards represent the hard work, passion and expertise of our entire team as well as our unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence.

“It feels fantastic to have been recognised for our hard work not only in The New Forest – having previously won New Forest Business of the Year in 2021 alongside the Food & Drink Award – but now within a much wider remit.

“This will really help us in our confidence to grow and to continue to drive forward our business, which balances profit with purpose.”

The Forest Foodie, launched in 2020, works with more than 40 local producers to produce hampers for picnics and celebrations.

These can be collected from Flora’s kitchen in Lymington or delivered to homes, holiday cottages and marinas.

Gift and corporate hampers are also available, as well as canapé deliveries, corporate lunches and three-course dine at home hampers for dinner parties and all special occasions.

“Having launched my business in the midst of the pandemic, The Forest Foodie has seen significant and impressive growth while never compromising on quality and customer experience,” said Flora.

“Both awards involved a stringent interview process, whereby evidence and examples of growth, vision, successes and financial performance were given.

“I also demonstrated the unique experience I offer my customers, and my 5* Google reviews were also taken into consideration.”
