RNLI lifeboat crew rescues foil boarder in difficulty off Calshot Spit

CALSHOT RNLI rescuers went to the aid of a foil boarder in difficulty on the morning of Christmas Eve.

Alerted while training, the crew soon reached the scene, just off Calshot Spit, in Atlantic 85 B class lifeboat Max Walls.

The casualty was recovered and returned to shore.

An RNLI Facebook post afterwards said a local swimming club raised the alarm, emphasising the importance of looking out for others on the water and having a way to call for help.
