Fire crews rescue pair trapped in water in Beaulieu

FIREFIGHTERS went to the rescue of two people who became trapped waist-deep in water in Beaulieu.

Equipped with specialist water rescue gear, crews from Lyndhurst, Hythe, Hardley and Redbridge spent just over an hour freeing the adult casualties on land off the B3056 Hatchet Lane, near Beaulieu Road train station.

The alarm was raised around 4.30pm on Tuesday afternoon. Both were treated at the scene before being handed over to paramedics.
