Police ‘extremely concerned’ for welfare of missing Adrian Matthews (77) from Langley, near Blackfield




THERE are fears for the welfare of a 77-year-old man after he went missing in Langley, near Blackfield.

Police are urging the public to help them track down Adrian Matthews, who was last seen on Forge Road around 6.30pm yesterday (Thursday).

A Hampshire force spokesperson said: “We have been carrying out enquiries to try and locate him, but we are extremely concerned for his welfare and we are now turning to you for assistance.”

Adrian is described as white, slim build, 6ft 2ins tall, and last seen wearing walking boots, jeans and a blue cardigan. He has a walking stick.

It is also thought he was wearing a fluorescent jacket when he went missing.

Officers believe Adrian is likely to still be in the local area.

Anyone who has seen him, or has any information about his current whereabouts, should dial 999, quoting reference 1959 of 8th August.
