Exhibition of New Forest Marque Inspired works to open at New Forest Heritage Centre in Lyndhurst

AN exhibition bringing together local artists and craftspeople is to open to the public tomorrow (Wednesday).

The work by members of New Forest Marque Inspired reflects the beauty of nature in this unique environment, and is the first display of its kind.

The event is being run by the group - a branch of food and produce scheme New Forest Marque - in collaboration with Hampshire Open Studios, which supports independent art venues across the county.

New Forest Marque Inspired is supported by funding from Arts Council England, and open to artists that live in the New Forest.

Having just celebrated its 20th anniversary, the New Forest Marque champions local businesses that pride themselves on producing and providing food, drinks and crafts with “clearly defined New Forest provenance”.

Dan Parsons, chair of New Forest Marque, said: “Hampshire Open Studios is a fantastic opportunity for our New Forest Marque Inspired artists to come together in the heart of the New Forest, to celebrate not only their talent but also the natural landscape and the creativity it inspires.”

Opening hours of the exhibition are 10am to 5pm.
