Police release E-fit in hunt for burglar who stole jewellery and electrical items from home in Barton Lane, New Milton

POLICE have released an E-fit of a man they want to find after a burglar forced his way into a New Milton home and stole jewellery and electrical items.

The break-in took place at the unoccupied property in Christchurch Road, near the junction of Barton Lane, on Tuesday 15th March, but details have only just been released by the Hampshire force.

A man reportedly gained entry via the rear door around 2pm and ransacked the interior and before escaping with the range of goods.

Witnesses saw a man fleeing the scene on a black bicycle, carrying two large supermarket bags and heading towards Fawcett’s Field.

He was described as white, aged 30-35, about 5ft 8ins tall, skinny build with short brown hair and a beard, and was seen wearing a dark bomber jacket and grey trousers, carrying a black rucksack over his shoulder.

People are being urged to come forward if they can help identify the suspect.

A police spokesperson said: “Do you know who this man is?

“Were you in the area at the time? Perhaps you have CCTV or dash cam footage available?”
