E-fit appeal: Police hunt three men after burglars broke into garage in Whitsbury area of Fordingbridge
POLICE have released an e-fit in the hunt for three burglars who targeted a Fordingbridge garage, one of whom was brandishing a metal pipe.
The trio was challenged by the victim after forcing entry to the outbuilding at a property near Green Lane in the Whitsbury area around 2.30pm on Saturday.
Having travelled in a white Ford Transit long wheelbase, the men fled the scene without stealing anything.
The first man officers want to speak to in connection with the incident, pictured in the e-fit, is described as white, aged around 40, and large build.
The second, who was holding the metal pipe, was also white, aged around 27, about 6ft 1in tall, and large build.
The third man is described as white, aged around 25, about 5ft 11ins tall, and large build.
Officers urged the men described, or anyone who can help identify them, to come forward.
A Hampshire force spokesperson said: “We would also like to hear from anyone who recalls seeing anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident.
“Do you remember seeing the vehicle, described above, travelling at speed around Whitsbury and Fordingbridge at approximately 2.30pm?
“If you do, where did you see it and what direction was it heading in?”
