CLASS B drugs worth £5,600 were seized when police raided a property in Fordingbridge, disrupting a potential supply chain.

Officers searched an address in Riverside Place at 9.15am last Friday, which resulted in the seizure of cannabis related to suspected cultivation of drugs. A number of mobile phones were also seized.

A 19-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B drug with intent to supply.

Local neighbourhood policing teams and PCSOs have been patrolling the area and conducting house-to-house enquiries in a bid to reassure to the community.

New Forest North district officer PC Tom Neal said: “We rely upon our communities to contact us and tell us when they have concerns over issues which they feel need police consideration.

“We’re grateful to the local community who continue to provide key information relating to such activity.

“Following support from our communities, our officers are working hard to ensure we continue to target those people who persist in committing crime and bringing harm to our communities in this way.”
