A COLLISION in which two cars careered off a Hythe road has prompted police to urge motorists to take extra care as winter approaches.

No serious injuries were reported in the incident in Fawley Road, near the One Stop convenience store on the Netley View estate, on Tuesday afternoon.

But a picture of the crashed vehicles, which had ended up side by side off the road, was shared by police officers on Facebook as a warning to other road users.

“We'd like to thank drivers on Fawley Road for their patience while our officers dealt with a road traffic collision just near to the One Stop on Netley View,” the post said.

“Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt, but with the cold nights drawing in, it's a good time to remind everyone to be extra vigilant on the roads.”
