Driver taken to hospital after two-vehicle crash on A35 at Lyndhurst

A MOTORIST was hospitalised following a two-vehicle collision which partially blocked a stretch of the A35 at Lyndhurst.

Paramedics and police responded to the incident involving a Ford and a Ford Focus which took place in Bournemouth Road, between Pinkney Lane and Swan Green, yesterday (Wednesday).

The alarm was raised around 3.20pm, and a male casualty was taken by ambulance to Southampton General Hospital with a suspected collarbone injury.

A woman was also treated at the scene for what were described by a South Central Ambulance Service spokesperson as minor injuries.

Traffic delays followed as the busy road was partially blocked in both directions for nearly 90 minutes.
