Driver arrested on suspicion of drug supply offences after police stop car on A35 in Ashurst

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of drug supply offences after police stopped a car in Ashurst.

Officers patrolling the A35 Lyndhurst Road, from Totton towards Ashurst, yesterday (Wednesday) at about 1pm pulled over a blue Kia over concerns about both the vehicle and driver, a spokesperson for Hampshire police said.

After a search, class B drugs were found on the driver and in the vehicle.

He also failed a roadside drugs wipe.

A 26-year-old man of no fixed abode was arrested on suspicion of drug-driving, possession of a class B drug and possession with intent to supply a class B drug.

He was released on bail until 30th March.
