Murder police launch appeal for those who knew victim at Heath Road in Walkford

LEARN MOREPOLICE investigating the possible murder of a man in Walkford have appealed for those who knew the victim to get in touch.
Officers were sent to Heath Road on Tuesday evening following a concern-for-welfare call, and a man in his 30s was found dead. He had suffered "serious injuries", the police said.
A murder investigation was launched, and now detectives have made a fresh public appeal for help.
“We are carrying out extensive enquiries into the death and would ask anyone who knows the occupant of 6 Heath Road to please come forward as you may have important information to assist our investigation," said Detective Inspector Simon Huxter, of the Dorset Police Major Crime Investigation Team.
“Our thoughts continue to remain with the family and friends of the man who sadly died and we will provide support to them as our enquiries progress.”
DI Huxter also made a plea for video footage from nearby residents.
“I would urge anyone who was in the area of Heath Road between 1st January and 4th January and saw any suspicious activity or anything out of the ordinary to please get in touch," he said.
“I am also appealing for any residents in the vicinity of Heath Road with home CCTV systems or dashcam footage from vehicles that were in the area during the timeframe to please check for any relevant footage."
