Hundreds of villagers turn out to see dazzling blooms at Sway Gardening Club’s Spring Show
BEAUTIFUL spring flowers brought a touch of brightness to Sway Village Hall at the weekend.
Following weeks of rain, the display of daffodils, camelias and other blooms were a very welcome sight.
Hundreds of villagers turned out to see the display at Sway Gardening Spring Flower Show at St Luke’s Church, where a “dazzling” array of flowers filled the air with fragrance.
There were also some delicious cakes, pastries and loaves in the home produce section, while the kids’ table had some wonderful animal themed cakes and imaginative potato print pictures.
A proud Oscar Andrews scooped a trophy for his brightly coloured cup cakes.
Sway Gardening Club chair, Sheila Butler, said: “We were delighted to welcome so many Sway residents to our annual Spring Flower Show.
“It’s a real pleasure to see so many people enjoying the stunning floral displays in the beautiful setting of St. Luke’s Church.
“We attracted even more entries than last year, and the standard has been high despite the inclement weather. We thank everyone for their interest and support.”
