Police seek car driver who failed to stop after crash that left cyclist badly hurt on Hampton Lane in Blackfield




A cyclist was badly hurt in a hit-and-run in Blackfield last Friday.

Police are urging people to come forward to help trace the driver of the car involved.

It happened just before 3.40pm on Hampton Lane, between Blackfield Primary School and the health centre. The cyclist, a 55-year-old woman from Fawley, suffered what was described by the Hampshire force as a serious but not life-threatening injury.

A spokesperson said: “We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision and anyone with information about the car that left the scene.”
