Tailbacks reported after two-vehicle crash on Court Lane, off the B3347 Ringwood Road and Avon Causeway at Avon, near Sopley




A two-vehicle crash caused long tailbacks around two main roads near Sopley this morning (Friday).

The alarm was raised around 7am, with the collision on Court Lane at Avon, near its junction with the B3347 Ringwood Road and Avon Causeway.

An occupant of one of the vehicles had got themselves out by the time firefighters arrived.

The two crews, from Christchurch and Springbourne, helped a person out of the other vehicle before handing them over to paramedics.

But a Hampshire police spokesperson told the A&T no injuries had been reported.

The firefighters left the scene after 45 minutes, having ensured all was safe.

A post online at around 7.45am told of tailbacks from the collision at the Sopley end of the Avon Causeway.
