Chance to win tickets to the Red Shoes at the Mayflower
MATTHEW Bourne’s celebrated adaptation of The Red Shoes will return to Southampton’s Mayflower Theatre for a five-night run next month.
A sell-out before its world premiere season opened in 2016, Bourne’s reimagining of the legendary 1948 film won two Olivier Awards and dazzled audiences across the UK and the USA.
The production, which is supported by funding from Arts Council England, tells a tale of obsession, possession and one girl's dream to be the greatest dancer in the world.
Victoria Page lives to dance but her ambitions become a battleground between the two men who inspire her passion.
Set to the romantic music of golden-age Hollywood composer Bernard Herrmann, The Red Shoes is orchestrated by Terry Davies and played by the New Adventures Orchestra.
The Red Shoes will be in Southampton from 24th-28th March for five evening performances and two matinee shows.
Tickets are £24.50 to £49.50 but we’ve teamed up with the Mayflower Theatre to give one lucky reader the chance to win a pair of tickets to the opening night.
