Urging people to help identify the man pictured, the spokesperson said: “These incidents have caused significant harassment, alarm and distress to residents.

“Do you know or recognise this man? Perhaps you have seen him in the local area?”

The force has meanwhile sought to assure residents of the Ringwood neighbourhood policing team’s commitment to challenging unacceptable behaviour.

High-visibility patrols have been promised in areas with reports of anti-social behaviour and patterns of crime.

Those with information about the recent incidents should contact Hampshire officers on 101, quoting crime reference number 44220133983, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
