store.ChristchurchPOLICE have released a CCTV image of a man they want to find after cigarettes and alcohol were stolen from behind the counter of a

Two men entered the Co-op on Fairmile Road just before 10pm on Saturday 9th January, and while staff were away from the till one went behind the counter and took cigarettes and two bottles of spirits as the other kept watch.

Dorset Police investigations officer Max Surman said: “We have been carrying out enquiries into this matter and have obtained a CCTV image of a man we would like to speak to as part of our investigation.

“I appreciate his face is covered and the image is not of the best quality, but he is wearing distinctive trousers and I am hoping someone is able to recognise him from his general build and clothing.

“I would urge anyone with information that might assist our enquiries to please contact us.”
