Hampshire police appeal after shoplifter steals £800 worth of champagne from Waitrose in Ringwood
POLICE want to speak to this man after more then £800 worth of champagne was stolen from a Ringwood store.
The shoplift happened at Waitrose in The Furlong just after 10am on Thursday, 20th June.
The suspect is a bald, white male about 5ft 8in and about 45 years old. He was wearing glasses, a flat cap, a white T-shirt, brown blazer and blue jeans. The stolen bhampagne was worth £860.
It’s the latest in a spate of champagne thefts from Forest stores, after £1,000 worth – as well as spirits – was stolen from Lymington’s Waitrose on 15th May, and a haul valued at £700 was taken from M&S in Lymington.
A Hampshire police spokesperson said: “We believe the man in this image can help us with our investigation and would urge him, or anyone who knows his identity, to get in touch with us.
“Also, if you witnessed the incident, saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, or have any CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam or doorbell camera footage which could aid our investigation, please contact us.”
