Carpathia Grange care home in Hythe praised by Quality Care Commission for “exceptional standard of care”




A CARE home in Hythe has been praised by inspectors for providing an “exceptional standard of care”.

The Quality Care Commission rated Carpathia Grange as ‘outstanding’ in the caring category, and it was recently awarded the ‘Great Dementia Care’ award at the Care UK Stars Awards.

Inspectors said residents and their families spoke of the “kindness of the staff and described their care as excellent”.

One relative said of the home, which received a ‘Good’ rating overall: “My family and I are just delighted to see mum so happy, comfortable and cared for.

“There is such a lovely welcome from staff when you come.”

Staff were said to encourage residents in their “independence and interests”, and there was a “wide ranging programme of events and activities”.

One resident told inpectors: “I came on respite; it was so nice and friendly I decided to stay!”

Another said: “We are all spoiled here. Everything is very good and I feel very comfortable.”

Speaking after the report was published, home manager Pooja Dhoot said: “Everyone has contributed to making Carpathia Grange an unparalleled place to live and work, and this rating stands as a testament to everyone’s dedication to brightening each residents’ day.

“I’m so proud of the team, who work so hard to make residents’ lives enjoyable and fulfilling. It’s always great to hear such positive feedback from relatives and residents. It really means a lot. I look forward to celebrating this achievement with the team and continuing to build on our success in delivering exceptional care.”
