Family festi-fun as Camp Bestival returns to Dorset’s Lulworth Castle
FAMILY favourite Camp Bestival will return to Lulworth Castle this summer with headline sets from Sir Tom Jones, pop icons Sugababes and electronic music duo Basement Jaxx.
Day tickets for the popular festival are now on sale with an array of other top acts confirmed including Lightning Seeds, The Zutons, DJ Annie Mac, drum and bass legend Goldie and the original queen of reggae Dawn Penn.
Founded in 2008, Camp Bestival is hailed as the ultimate family friendly “festi-holiday”. This year it runs from 31st July to 3rd August.
Elsewhere on the line-up, families can expect to join in with national treasure Josie Gibson, the king of school assembly James Partridge, Iraina Mancini, Vanity Fairy, Daft Punk tribute act Daft Funk Live, Barrioke (aka TV icon Sean Williamson), Junior Jungle, Big Fish Little Fish and more.
On Saturday, festival goers will also be invited to join the world’s biggest Pyjama Party by rocking up in their PJs for a debut back-to-back DJ set from Rob da Bank and rugby legend Joe Marler.
Music aside, the events also hails the return of many family favourites such as Andy and The Odd Socks, Mr Tumble, Mister Maker, CBeebies Bedtime Stories, Horrible Histories and Dick and Dom.
Camp Bestival was built by a family for families, with Josie and Rob da Bank – and their children – all playing a role in bringing this iconic festival to fruition each year.
This year’s festival also sees the launch of Josie and Rob’s Slomo Wellbeing Festival which invites families to embrace a fun and inclusive approach to Next Generation Wellbeing with breathwork, meditation, yoga, contrast therapy and more.
The four day programme also includes an incredible array of free activities such as theatre, immersive shows, author talks, live podcasts, wellbeing and fitness workshops, outdoor adventures, circus spectacles, arts and crafts, comedy and the hugely popular firework finale.
