Burst sewer in Calmore Road prompts partial closure of Totton College

A COLLEGE has been forced to close to some students today (Tuesday) after a burst sewer resulted in a loss of water supply.

The incident in Calmore Road, Totton, hit properties in Wetherby Gardens, Barnsfield Crescent, Water Lane, Fritham Close and Calmore Gardens. Totton College in Water Lane was also affected.

A statement from the college said: “In line with local government advice, due to a loss of water supply following a burst water main in Calmore Road, we have taken the decision to partially close the college. Skills for Life students and those students that need assistance and transport are not to attend college today.”
