Burglars steal large cash haul in raid on home in Garden Close, Lyndhurst

A LARGE sum of cash was stolen when burglars raided a Lyndhurst home on Sunday afternoon.

The property in Garden Close was targeted between 12.30pm and 4.30pm, with an untidy search carried out before the haul of money was taken from inside. The amount of cash stolen was not revealed.

Police investigating the break-in are urging people to come forward if they witnessed any suspicious activity or have any useful CCTV footage.

“Were you in the area at the time?” a spokesperson for the Hampshire force said.

“Did you see anything or anyone acting suspiciously?”

Officers have carried out enquiries in the street as well as adjoining Northerwood Avenue.
