AN incident which sparked a police CCTV appeal after two people allegedly left without paying for their meal at a Christchurch restaurant has been resolved.

Images of the suspects were released on Monday by officers investigating a case of ‘bilking’ said to have taken place after a man and a woman entered Soho in Church Street around 9pm on Wednesday 23rd December last year and ordered food and drink to the value of £68.25.

Having announced yesterday (Tuesday) that the woman pictured had come forward and was helping with enquiries, officers today confirmed the outstanding bill had now been paid.

A force spokesperson said: “After consulting with victim and taking their wishes into account, no further police action will be taken in relation to this incident.”
