Biker hurt in collision with car at junction of A35 Lyndhurst Road and Ringwood Road at Hinton, near New Milton




A MOTORCYCLIST was badly hurt in a collision with a car at Hinton, near New Milton.

Police are investigating the incident involving a black Indian bike and a black Nissan Qashqai, which took place at the junction of the A35 Lyndhurst Road and Ringwood Road around 8.15pm on Wednesday.

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight air ambulance was among paramedic units which responded alongside officers.

But the rider, a man in his 70s from Boldre, was taken by land ambulance to hospital.

A Hampshire force spokesperson described his injuries as serious but not life-threatening or life-changing.

People are being urged to come forward if they can help piece together the circumstances of the collision.

The spokesperson said: “We would like to speak to anyone who saw either vehicle prior to the collision, or the incident itself.

“In particular, we would like to speak to anyone with dash cam footage relevant to our investigation.”
