Two men arrested after bar fight leads to damage at home in Eastlands, New Milton




TWO people were arrested after a fight outside a New Milton bar which continued at a nearby home.

Police responded to reports of a disturbance at Central Bar in Station Road around 11.25pm last Friday, which resulted in a man in his 30s suffering minor injuries.

Further trouble relating to this incident was later reported outside a property in Eastlands, which had its front door damaged.

Officers subsequently arrested a 26-year-old man of no fixed abode on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, using violence to secure entry to premises and possession with intent to supply a class B drug.

They also arrested a 31-year-old Christchurch man on suspicion of using violence to secure entry to premises.

Both suspects were later released and given conditional cautions.

A Hampshire force spokesperson said: “Police investigating reports of criminal damage in the New Milton area have arrested two people in connection with the incident.

“An altercation occurred outside a bar in New Milton at around 11.25pm on Friday 8th October, with a man in his 30s receiving minor injuries as a result.

“The incident continued outside a residential property on Eastlands whereby a front door was damaged.”
