Raiders attack and threaten resident before stealing cash and jewellery in home invasion at flat in Willow Drive, Ringwood




TWO raiders attacked and threatened a Ringwood resident after entering their flat early yesterday (Sunday) morning.

Police have arrested two people as they continue to investigate the aggravated burglary which took place around 6.25am at the address in Willow Drive.

Having assaulted and threatened the resident, the offenders escaped with a quantity of cash and jewellery.

Officers responding to the incident arrested a 40-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman from Ringwood, who they found in a nearby vehicle, on suspicion of aggravated burglary. The pair were later released under investigation pending further enquiries.

A spokesperson for the Hampshire force said: “Police have arrested two people in connection with an aggravated burglary in the Ringwood area.

“It comes after an occupant of a residential property in Willow Drive reported that two people entered their flat at around 6.25am on Sunday.

“The victim was assaulted and threatened, before a quantity of cash and jewellery was stolen from the premises.”

The spokesperson continued: “A 40-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman from Ringwood were located in a vehicle nearby and were both subsequently arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

“They were later released under investigation, pending further police enquiries.”
