Two arrested after bag of drugs dropped in front of police at home on Waverley Road in Fordingbridge

TWO people have been arrested after a bag of drugs was dropped in front of police at a Fordingbridge home.

The incident took place at around 3.20pm last Thursday as officers attended an address in Waverley Road regarding an unrelated matter .

While trying to speak to the house’s occupants, an officer spotted a bag being placed on the roof through an upstairs window, after which a quantity of class B drugs in a smaller bag was dropped next to the officer.

This sparked a search of the property, which resulted in drug-related gear, as well as mobile devices, being found and seized.

The officers arrested a 26-year-old local man on suspicion of possessing a class B drug with intent to supply.

A 54-year-old local woman was also arrested on suspicion of possessing a class B drug with intent to supply, as well as permitting the use of premises for the supply of a class B drug.
