Police probing spate of thefts from recycled clothing points, including those at Asda and Morrisons in Totton, arrest a man from London




A man was arrested as police probe a spate of thefts from clothing recycling points, including two in Totton.

Morrisons on Spruce Drive and Asda on Maynard Road have been among the locations where clothes have been taken during October.

Lordshill Community Centre on Cromarty Road was also targeted, with the latest theft happening on Fleming Avenue in North Baddesley around 4pm on Tuesday 21st October.

Investigating officers arrested a 33-year-old man from London on suspicion of going equipped for theft, theft, and handling stolen goods.

He was later released on conditional police bail, pending further enquiries.

People are urged to come forward if they have any information or useful dash cam, mobile phone or CCTV footage.
