Person hospitalised with ‘potentially serious’ injuries after three-vehicle collision on A338 at Ashley Heath




ONE person suffered “potentially serious” injuries in a three-vehicle crash on a main road near Ringwood.

The incident on the A338 at Ashley Heath happened yesterday (Monday) just after 8.30pm.

Emergency services attended and road closures were put in place while they dealt with the incident.

A 26-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of driving offences, Hampshire police confirmed.

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 8:40pm on Monday 30th September to a road traffic collision near Ringwood.

“We sent two double-crewed land ambulances to the scene. We conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Poole Hospital and another by land ambulance to Royal Bournemouth Hospital.”

A spokesperson for Dorset Police told the A&T: “We were called at 8.31pm on Monday 30th September to a report of a three-vehicle collision on the A338 near the Ashley Heath roundabout.

“One person was taken to hospital with injuries that are described as possibly serious.”

The road reopened at around 1.10am today (Tuesday) after the vehicles were recovered.
