Arrest after mass brawl at New Milton pub on Station Road

POLICE have made an arrest after a man was injured in a fight at a New Milton pub on Saturday night.

A 36-year-old New Milton man suffered a suspected broken nose and broken jaw during the altercation, which happened at about 11.10pm.

A spokesperson for Hampshire police said officers identified the man believed to have been the "main aggressor" after watching CCTV footage.

They stopped a vehicle shortly afterwards, with the passenger matching the description of a man seen on CCTV.

A 26-year-old man from New Milton was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

He was later released on bail, while police continue their enquiries.
