‘An eyeopener!’ says Bradley Green as Highcliffe’s Lord Bute features in Channel 4’s Four in a Bed TV show
A HIGHCLIFFE hotel will feature on TV this week battling three other B&Bs in popular reality show Four in a Bed.
The Lord Bute in Highcliffe entered the Channel 4 show which, over its 15 years on the air, has featured its fair share of shocks, scandals and revelations.
Luckily for Lord Bute chef and owner Bradley Green there were none of those at his establishment which will be seen being given a through inspection tomorrow (Wednesday) by three other BnB couples who, as the show’s slogan says, “Check in for the night to check out the competition”.
Bradley, who entered the programme with former colleague Ryan Harris-Smith, said: “I don’t know if we were brave, or mad to go on it.
“But we really had a great time and made good friends with one of the couples. There was no falling out with the others either, although there was a bit of a game of tactics at the end.
“I can’t say too much about what goes on behind the scenes, but it was a bit of an eye opener!”
The episode starring Lord Bute is set to air on 12th March at 5pm. On Friday participants will learn who has taken the title of best BnB of the week.
Meanwhile, Bradley, who took over the Lord Bute in September, has been celebrating this week after it was awarded ‘Best Fine dining Restaurant in Dorset’ in the LUXlife magazine restaurant and bar awards – the second year running it has scooped this title.
Since taking helm of the iconic Highcliffe restaurant and hotel, Bradley has won praise for his innovative style of cooking along with introducing special occasion nights at it which has gone down well with villagers and visitors alike.
Recent tribute nights including a three-course meal have featured ‘Frank Sinatra’ and ‘Elvis’.
Building on the success of the Lord Bute, Bradley is launching a bistro in Westbourne called Harvey’s which will offer “a warm, stylish setting where guests can enjoy beautifully crafted dishes in a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere”.
