New Forest firms nominated in 2024 Tourism South East ‘Beautiful South’ tourism awards

EIGHT New Forest businesses have been nominated in the 2024 Tourism South East ‘Beautiful South’ tourism awards.

Lytton Lawn Touring Park in Lymington has been nominated as a finalist in the camping and caravanning park of the year category.

The park is facing competition from Badgells Wood at Birling Estate in Meopham, and Stubcroft Farm Campsite, Chichester.

Shorefield Country Park - Shorefield Holidays (Google)

Shorefield Country Park in Lymington is a finalist in the dog friendly business of the year category, facing competition from holiday cottages in Deal and Droxford.

Shorefield is also a finalist in the holiday park of the year category, going head to head with Seal Bay Resort in Selsey.

In the large hotel of the year category, Careys Manor Hotel and SenSpa in Brockenhurst has competition from resorts and hotels in Faversham, Basingstoke and Reading.

Coppertree at Shorefield Country Park in Lymington has been commended in the self catering accommodation of the year category.

New Park Manor Hotel in Brockenhurst and The Montagu Arms Hotel in Beaulieu are both finalists in the small hotel of the year category, with competition from Frasers in Ashford.

In the spa and wellbeing experience of the year category, Wellbeing Spa Day at SenSpa in Brockenhurst will go head to head with the Emerge Spa Day at eforea Spa at the Hilton Southampton Utilita Bowl.

Tourism South East chief executive Fran Downton said: “We are thrilled to announce the finalists for this year's Beautiful South awards, which highlight the outstanding achievements in tourism excellence.

“These finalists reflect the spirit of innovation and dedication of businesses to make our destination a fantastic place for visitors and residents.”

Awards director Nell Barrington added: “We were absolutely thrilled with the number and quality of entries this year which has made it tougher than ever before for our judges. Thank you to everyone who entered and has supported these awards and the best of luck to the finalists.”

The winners will be announced by broadcaster Toby Anstis at a ceremony at the Grand Brighton on December 10th.
