Eco Sustainable Solutions’ Christmas tree recycling scheme supporting Diverse Abilities, Lewis-Manning Hospice Care, and Julia’s House

A PARLEY firm helped raise a record £64,800 for charity through a Christmas tree recycling scheme.

Eco Sustainable Solutions charged people and businesses to mulch around 29 tonnes of trees collected from their premises after the festive season.

The £64,800 raised through this year’s recycling scheme is a £7,000 increase on last year and will be going to Diverse Abilities, Lewis-Manning Hospice Care, and Julia’s House.

Eco’s marketing executive Bryony Hammond said: “We’re pleased and proud to play our part in raising a record amount for three very deserving local charities.

“It’s one of the most worthwhile community initiatives we’re involved in; not only generating much-needed funds for charity but also disposing of the Christmas trees sustainably by turning them into woodland mulch.”

Representatives for Diverse Abilities and Julia’s House said they are “grateful” for the financial support, while a spokesperson for Lewis-Manning Hospice Care said the impact of the fundraising scheme had been “amazing”.
