15-year-olds arrested after teen assaulted on Fawcett's Field, New Milton

THREE 15-year-olds have been arrested after a teenager was injured in an assault at a New Milton sports field.

Officers was called after a member of the public saw three teenagers assault another at Fawcett's Fields on Christchurch Road at around 8.50pm on Saturday.

The victim, a 16-year-old boy from Brockenhurst, suffered minor injuries.

Officers found three teenagers nearby who matched the description provided.

Two of the trio arrested were from New Milton, both held on suspicious of assault causing actual bodily harm and possession of a class B drug, with one also arrested on suspicion of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm.

The third was from Christchurch, arrested on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm.

All three have since been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.
