ADVENTURER and broadcaster Mark Beaumont will share the incredible story of his successful bid to circumnavigate the globe on a bicycle during a show at Christchurch Regent Centre later this month.
Entitled Around the World in 80 Days, the show will reveal how Mark set about making the Victorian challenge a modern-day reality after months of meticulous planning.
In 2017 he successfully completed the global 18,000-mile challenge in a time of 78 days and 14 hours, covering an average of 240 miles a day.
Over the past decade, his epic documentaries have taken viewers to more than 100 countries, featuring landscapes from towering mountain ranges to the frozen Arctic; and even include footage of the terrifying moment he capsized in the middle of Atlantic.
Around the World in 80 Days will on stage in Christchurch on Saturday 29th February at 7.30pm. Tickets are £17 but we’ve teamed up with the Regent Centre to give one lucky reader the chance to win a pair of tickets by answering the question in this week’s leisure competition.
