What’s On: Rebirth & Regeneration in A Post-Pandemic Society, The Bulb, Southampton
THEMES of rebirth and regeneration will be explored as a pop-up art exhibition takes over a huge office space in Southampton.
The art show, entitled Rebirth & Regeneration in A Post-Pandemic Society will pop at The Bulb, Frobisher House, Southampton on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd March.
Featuring works by artists from the New Forest and Southampton area the showcase will include work by Christian de Ferranti, Eileen White, James Earley, Kim Thompson, Long Ly, Junko O’Neil, Jo Rose, Peter McGinnis and Stewart Beckett.
The exhibition has been created to explore the transformative power of art in a unique space, with works encapsulating the themes of rebirth and regeneration, offering an insight into our ever-evolving post-pandemic society.
James Seilo, a trainer and performance coach, is curating the exhibition. He studied art at school and remembers spending hours painting in a state of flow. Life, children and career took over but is now rediscovering his love of art by working with artists and creating an exhibition with a difference.
James said: “I’m breaking with stereotypes and doing something seemingly out of character. We shouldn’t be pigeon holed and limited by beliefs. The artists have poured their hearts and souls into their work, and they are truly breath taking. This is a very different art exhibition and we can’t wait to share it with you.”
The Bulb is 50,000 square feet of very high spec office space adjacent to Southampton Central Station which boasts the UK’s largest clean air mural on its exterior. The Rebirth & Regeneration Exhibition will be open to the public with free admission on Saturday 2nd March from 1pm to 6pm and then on Sunday 3rd March from 1pm to 5pm at The Bulb, Frobisher House, Southampton.
