The Surge, Clockwork Carousel acoustic and the Bamboo Vipers to play Boldre Club for MANUP? and Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM)
A TRIO of local bands will join forces to support mental health charities in a gig at Boldre Club on Saturday.
The Surge, Clockwork Carousel acoustic, and local punk legends The Bamboo Vipers are raising money for MANUP? and Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).
Founded more than two decades ago, CALM works to prevent suicides by offering life-saving services, provoking national conversation, and bringing people together to reject “living miserably”.
MANUP? is a charity that supports men’s mental health by offering support and attempting to break stigmas surrounding mental illness.
Event spokesperson Adrian Saunders said: "Recently formed local rock band, The Surge, decided to organise this special charity gig in support of two causes that are very close to their hearts.
“Special guests will be the Bamboo Vipers, fronted by local punk stalwart, Shaun Morris," said Adrian.
“The band is back following a long hiatus and is ready to showcase some of its new material in a live setting.
“Clockwork Carousel will be opening up the evening with an acoustic set of their finely crafted songs.”
Admission is £5 for non-club members and free for members. Doors open at 7pm.
