The life-sized models from the Disney and Pixar movie Cars will be at Beaulieu’s National Motor Museum this autumn

Stars of the Disney and Pixar movie Cars will be making a purrfect pit stop at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu this autumn.

The fan-favourite racers and Radiator Springs residents are taking a break from the track and their globetrotting adventures to meet fans face to face. Iconic characters making an appearance include Lightning McQueen, Mater, Jackson Storm and Finn McMissile.

The Disney Pixar Cars franchise began in 2006, set in a world of anthropomorphic vehicles. The first film introduced rookie race car Lightning McQueen, who, while traveling to a championship race, accidentally gets stranded in the forgotten Route 66 town of Radiator Springs.

There, he learns humility and the value of friendship from the quirky residents, like his best friend, Mater the tow truck, and former racing legend, Doc Hudson.

The sequels followed McQueen and Mater's adventures. Cars 2 saw Mater mistakenly embroiled in international espionage during a World Grand Prix, and Cars 3 brought the story back to racing, focusing on a maturing McQueen challenging a new generation of high-tech racers and finding a new purpose in mentoring.

Visitors can meet the stars as part of a general admission ticket to Beaulieu, which also includes entrance to the remainder of the Beaulieu attraction, including the world-famous National Motor Museum, the historic Beaulieu Abbey, We Had One of Those, Little Beaulieu, Palace House and its grounds and gardens.

The hugely popular film series follows Lightning’s journey from rookie sensation to racing legend, and is described as a celebration of the fun, friendship, and full-throttle excitement that’s made Disney and Pixar’s Cars a favourite for nearly two decades.

The life-sized models will be at the National Motor Museum until 12th April 2026. To find out more visit beaulieu.co.uk
