SPOOKY thrills are guaranteed as Longdown Activity Farm reopens its popular haunted barn to families during half term.

Visitors should look out for the grimacing ghouls, scary skeletons and wicked witches that dwell among the cobweb-strewn hay bales and blackened timbers of the dreaded haunted barn.

There will also be an opportunity to meet a real barn owl with the Creature Teachers who will be in the barn along with some creepy creatures like spiders, millipedes, and cockroaches on Friday 31st October.

Screaming with laughter will also be on the cards on Wednesday 29th October when family entertainer Crazy M pops by with a large helping of mischief, silly spells and madcap capers.

After all the scary stuff, visitors to the popular visitor attraction can calm down with meet and greet sessions with the friendly farm animals.

A spokesperson for Longdown Activity Farm, near Ashurst, said: “Join in when you want to with a full schedule of farm activities lasting all day, which includes bottle-feeding kid goats and calves, small animal handling in the animal encounter barn, and feeding the ducks.”

There’s also plenty of opportunities to get active with ride-on tractors, the sandpit and diggers, go-karts, the outdoor all-inclusive play area, trampolines, and the Pitchfork and Putt crazy golf.

The spokesperson added: “Don’t forget to stop off at the farm shop as you leave for a treasure trove of local goodies, and, of course, your Halloween pumpkin.”
