Review: Robin Hood, Boldre Memorial Hall, Pilley.
Audience interaction is the key to a successful Panto, and Robin Hood and the merry man of Pilley and surrounding villages, certainly managed to deliver plenty. On stage at the village hall in late November, the production was one of the first in the area to launch the festive season.
An entertaining storyline and well penned script, full of necessary double entendre and colloquialism, this production was punching well above its weight. Rachel Parsons and Jess Stanfeld’s solo performances both as Maid Marion (lucky Robin!) left the audience wanting more, and the debut solos of Darcy Courtney were simply show-stopping.
The cast and crew put on four fine shows over the weekend and I dare say will be talking about their highs for weeks to come.
A brilliant show and refreshments too. Make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to attend next year. There was nothing ‘village’ about this panto.
