Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, The Stranglers and UB40 ft Ali Campbell to headline Southampton Summer Sessions
BRIT Award-winning hip-hop sensation Rag ‘n’ Bone Man will join the likes of McFly, The Human League, Simple Minds, UB40 Featuring Ali Campbell, and The Stranglers to headline the Southampton Summer Sessions 2025.
Set to take place in Guildhall Square throughout June, the outdoor concert series returns to Southampton following the success of the 2024 programme.
Launched by DF Concerts in 2013, Summer Sessions initially became a summer staple in Scotland, known for delivering star-studded lineups in Glasgow and Edinburgh. They expanded to other UK cities in 2024.
The Southampton programme launches on Friday 13th June when Rag ‘n’ Bone Man will appear with British Americana sensation Elles Bailey.
Hailing from East Sussex, Rag’n’Bone Man broke onto the scene in 2016 with his powerful single Human, blending blues and hip hop with raw emotion. His debut album Human went four times platinum and earned him a BRIT Award, followed by his 2021 album Life by Misadventure, which debuted number one on the UK charts with hits like Anywhere Away From Here and All You Ever Wanted.
On Saturday 14th June, The Stranglers will appear in session with punk pioneers Buzzcocks. Formed in 1974, The Stranglers are regarded as one of the UK’s most influential bands, blending punk attitude with a melodic touch. Scoring early hits such as Peaches, No More Heroes, and the iconic Golden Brown, they’ve racked up 24 Top 40 singles and 19 Top 40 albums over an illustrious six-decade career.
The weekend of live music continues on Sunday 15th June with UB40 Featuring Ali Campbell. As a founding member of the legendary Birmingham band, Ali remains committed to honouring UB40’s rich legacy, which began 45 years ago. Fans can expect a lively set filled with beloved classics including Cherry Oh Baby, Please Don't Make Me Cry, Kingston Town, and Red Red Wine.
