New Forest Marque teams up with New Forest Hamper Company to showcase best-selling treats
A SPECIALLY curated range of hampers brimming with New Forest produce has been launched in a partnership between a Milford businesswoman and an organisation championing the district’s produce.
Adie Callaghan, of the New Forest Hamper Company, has teamed up with New Forest Marque to showcase a selection of best-selling treats lovingly made by local producers.
The three new hampers feature luxury items including preserves by Real Jam & Chutney Co, melt in the mouth New Forest shortbread, handmade Beaulieu Chocolate Studio bars, moreish Fordingbridge Fudge, honey by Waterside Apiaries, Lyburn cheese, zesty lemon drizzle by the New Forest Cake House, handcrafted Beachcomber Gin, candles by New Forest Aromatics and soap by Cyril’s Soap Shed.
Based in Milford, Adie works with more than 50 suppliers, from craft distilleries and breweries to farms and artisan food makers, to create hampers using more than 150 local products.
“We are delighted to be working with the New Forest Marque on this hamper collaboration project to specifically champion those producers who are fellow Marque members,” she said. “Having sat on the Marque’s board previously, and being a member for many years, I personally feel very passionate about any project that highlights and promotes the quality and wealth of local producers we have on our doorstep here in the Forest.”
New Forest Marque’s 160 members are made up of farmers, commoners and growers, plus food, drink and craft producers whose raw ingredients and materials are locally sourced.
Chair Dan Parsons said: “These hampers offer a great way to experience the fabulous food and drink on offer in the New Forest.
"All New Forest Marque goods meet strict criteria that guarantees they are truly local and you can be assured that products bearing our logo have been grown, reared, brewed, produced or processed right here in the New Forest.
“When you choose Marque products you are supporting the community as well as the traditional ways of farmers and commoners in the Forest.”
The hampers, which can be delivered to anywhere in the UK, come in three varieties: Giftbox £52; Luxury £65 or Ultimate Forest £99.
