Organisers are promising plenty to appeal to families too with dinosaur shows, the Passion for Laughter street shows, Mad for Animals and Jamie Jambo, as well as street food from around the world.

Festival director Ben Dyas said: “Poole Harbour Festival is a brilliant day the whole family can enjoy together and has become an established highlight of summer in Poole.

“We really missed being able to welcome our regulars as well as newcomers last year when we had to stand down in the face of Covid, but we’re back with a bigger site that means more space and better access to the main stage creating a safer environment for all our visitors.”

Festivals-goers are also promised an array of music from tribute acts and local bands including the Mother Ukers, festival favourites Saints of Sin, Pronghorn, singer-songwriter Carley Varley and the Bomo Swing.

Meanwhile, clubbers young and old can enjoy a stellar DJ line-up featuring Paul Moss, Jon Langford and the Manor Reunion crew.

Extra bars, queue management systems and additional toilets will be installed to enable the festival to go ahead in a Covid-safe way. Weekend tickets are from £16 for an adult or £27 for a family. Visit www.pooleharbourfestival.com
