Milton Musical Society brings Westenders to Forest Arts

A MUSICAL medley of numbers from some of the West End’s best loved productions will be on stage at Forest Arts in New Milton later this month.

Westenders is a brand new show created by Milton Musical Society which follows popular musical theatre characters to discover what they get up to when not on the stage.

Written, directed and choreographed by the creative team of Kirsti Warne, Lizzie Crane and Shae Carroll and with the musical direction of Jo Kent, Westenders is on stage at Forest Arts from Wednesday 30th November until Saturday 3rd December, with evening and matinee shows.

Set in the King Henry pub, Westenders tells the tale of the barman and his friends as they spend their evenings in their local, drinking, relaxing, and socialising with each other.

From ghostly ex-wives to a singing King Henry VIII and characters such as Fagin, Mary Poppins, and Calamity Jane the story shows the ups and downs of relationships, friendships and how not to manage a pub!

With a cast of over 30 and featuring wonderful musical numbers from shows such as Six, Les Misérables and Chicago, the jukebox of musical promises to deliver something for everyone.

Milton Musical Society was formed in 1967 and performed its first show in 1968.

Since then the society has gone on to perform an array of shows including Titanic, Oklahoma, My Fair Lady, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

Home written and produced numbers include Putting on the Glitz, The Show Must Go On and last year’s sell out show Do You Wanna Dance?

Tickets are £15. For more information and bookings visit www.forest-arts.co.uk or contact the box office on 01425 612393.
