Lymington pub the Monkey Brewhouse is hosting a summer festival with beer, barbecue food and live music
A LYMINGTON pub is hosting a summer festival promising a weekend of beers, barbecue food and live music.
The Monkey Brewhouse will run the free-to-enter three-day event between Friday 28th and Sunday 30th June, which will feature a selection of beers from guest breweries and the pub’s own brews.
Brewer Will Bradshaw will have 24 beers for festival-goers to sample – 12 on cask and 12 on keg, changing throughout the weekend.
“Like a kid at Christmas I have been selecting some exciting beers from breweries far and wide for everyone to try alongside some Monkey favourites,” said Will, who has a micro-brewery on site where he has been producing beers since 2021
“Our latest release, Taddiford session IPA, will also be dropping. Brewed solely with Luminosa hops, this beer shines with notes of papaya, guava, mango and fleshy peach. Keep an eye on our socials for the full beer list release.”
He continued: “Our chefs will also be cooking up a storm on the barbecue serving delicious street-style food throughout the weekend.
“Some of the best local live bands and musicians will be playing on our sunny terrace, and if last year’s festival is anything to go by, it will be a weekend to remember.”
The live music line-up includes local musicians Emma Hardy, Tim Young, Lost Post, John Burke & the Big Town Boppers, Alex Roberts, Sunstroke, Six & Sax and Phil Holbird & Wayne Redhead.
The pub team will also be kicking off a fundraiser for a defibrillator to be installed outside the pub for the community to access when needed.
Popular with locals, the Monkey Brewhouse hosts regular live music nights on Fridays and Sundays at 8pm, a monthly quiz night, and regular open-mic nights.
