Lime Wood Hotel launches treatments at Herb House Spa to mark World Menopause Day
A LUXURY New Forest hotel has become the first in the UK to launch a new treatment aimed at promoting gut health to mark World Menopause Awareness Day on 18th October.
Herb House, the award-winning destination spa at Lime Wood Hotel in the New Forest, launched UK exclusive Ground wellbeing treatments earlier this year.
Ground is a collection of natural aromatherapy balms and oils for the face and body that aims to soothe and provide nourishment while helping to bring focus, ritual and intention into daily life. The collection was created by Peigin Crowley who also helped devise Lime Wood’s unique Ground treatments, which include the Restorative Ritual, the Grounding Ritual, the Balancing Ritual and the Cleansing Ritual.
Bespoke treatments have been developed which are specifically designed for women who are experiencing menopause. Peigin said: “The aim of Ground’s newest treatment is to gently stimulate the circulation of energy, lymph and fresh blood flow to the digestive organs through a full body aromatic scrub and a back and abdominal massage.”
“The fresh circulation helps bring the body’s core back to homeostasis and balance. Utilising the benefits of castor and cardamom this warming treatment focuses on relaxing and soothing the abdomen physically, while stimulating the area to aid detoxification. Massage techniques are used as a way of releasing stagnated energy and emotions from the abdominal area while acupressure points on the face and feet are worked on to further promote digestion and metabolism.”
Peigin, who has more than 20 years of experience in the spa and wellness world, added: “Lime Wood could not be a more beautiful partner for Ground wellbeing. Built into nature, the Herb House Spa complements our ethos ‘wellness from the ground up’ offering products that are 100% natural and eco-conscious.”
The Cleansing Ritual is a two-hour treatment using the latest Ground product, Cleanse Abdominal Body Oil, to focus on the importance of gut health which is described by Peigin as a definitive factor in one’s mental, emotional and physical health.
