Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Barbara Nice is bringing her show to Hanger Farm Arts Centre in Totton

BRITAIN’S Got Talent semi-finalist Janice Connolly will bring her comedy alter ego Barbara Nice to Totton next month.

Actor, writer and comedian Connolly has starred in many TV shows including as Holy Mary, the God-fearing barmaid in Phoenix Nights, and as receptionist Rosie Colton in the BBC’s long-running afternoon drama Doctors. Now she is bringing her creation Barbara Nice to town for a night of fun and laugher.

This is the second leg of the Fun! With Barbara Nice tour, which is Barbara’s first UK tour since 2019.

Billed as a lively evening with everyone’s favourite housewife, the show is guaranteed to lift the spirits, as Barbara shares her unique comic insights on what’s sucking the joy out of life, and what that means for the current state of play.

Barbara said: “The message of the show is WTF – that’s where’s the fun! I think we all need a bit more fun in our lives right now.”

The show offers many opportunities for the audience to get involved. For Barbara it’s all about empowering people to leave their cares in the theatre foyer, and enjoying a laugh-out-loud, joyful get-together.

Barbara’s shows are all about having a “proper good laugh” and she prides herself on her authentic, down-to-earth approach. “I’m all about keeping it real,” she explains. “There’s none of that AI bobbins in my shows – as Freddy Mercury almost said, ‘This is the real life, this is not AI’ – it’s all about real people having a real laugh and a lot of fun!”

Fun! With Barbara Nice will be at Hanger Farm Arts Centre on Friday 4th April. Tickets are from £15. To book visit www.hangerfarm.co.uk
